I have a kind of weird question for any cooks among you.
So my current diet includes, for the most part, lettuce and grilled chicken. I bought a bag of those "perfect portion" chicken breasts Perdue sells cos they're all roughly the same size. Nice for dieting. The first two I cooked immediately after I bought them, the night of and the next night, so they were thawed. They came out DELICIOUS. I threw the rest in the freezer and take one out the night before I plan to cook it to defrost in the fridge. When I cooked the last two they came out... weird. They were cooked all the way through but had the texture in your mouth of being raw. Tough, almost crunchy, cartilage-y. Really mostly inedible. I've never experienced this before so I can't tell if the chicken is just iffy, or if it has something to do with my cooking methods or with the meat beng defrosted. It's not really economical or practical for me to have to buy fresh, unfrozen chicken breasts 1 or 2 at a time. The whole point is to buy in bulk, freeze, and defrost as needed.
I've cooked all all of them in my toaster oven (since it's such a tiny portion) at 350 degrees for 17-20 minutes. Like I said, the first two attempts were delicious, tender, and awesome. My second two attempts have been disgusting.
HALP! What could I be doing wrong?
On a side note, a lean cuisine pizza with sauteed broccoli, peppers, and onions piled on top of it is SO incredibly delicious. I love Friday night dinner *_*
Also I am going to have a Chipotle salad for lunch with Jisuk tomorrow and I have never been so excited for fast food in my life.
